Questions families ask

FAQ for this Salem adult foster home.

If your question is about a specific person, call (503) 362-5191 rather than putting health details in email.

What is a Level 3 adult foster home?

Oregon uses Class 1, 2, and 3 licenses. Timberlight Haven is Level 3 (Class 3). That classification allows care for people who need full help with four or more activities of daily living, with state limits on total bed-level care. It is still a five-bed house, not a nursing facility.

Do you accept Medicaid?

Yes. We accept Medicaid and private pay. Covered services depend on the payment source and the assessed needs.

How many people live here?

The home is licensed for five beds. Ask which beds are open when you call.

Is someone in the home at night?

Yes. Staff remain in the home around the clock.

What is the staff-to-resident ratio?

This is a five-bed home, not a large facility. The number of caregivers on a shift depends on who is working that day. We will explain current coverage when you tour.

Can a resident bring furniture?

Often yes, if it fits the room and does not block a safe exit. We will look at the space during the tour.

What are visiting hours?

Call before you come. This is a private home. We schedule visits so residents are not interrupted without notice.

What happens in an emergency?

Call 911 for a life-threatening emergency. The home keeps a written evacuation plan. Read the Safety page for the public summary.

Is there a waiting list?

That changes. Call (503) 362-5191 for current openings.

How do I verify the license?

Use Provider Info on Oregon’s LTC licensing site.
